WASHINGTON, Sept 26 (Hina) - Bosnia-Herzegovina is on the path towards a better and safer future, said Clifford Bond, the newly-appointed ambassador of the United States to Sarajevo. Testifying before the Senate's international
affairs committee, that should endorse President George W. Bush's proposal about his appointment, Bond on Tuesday asserted that for the first time since the war Bosnia had leaders determined to build a multi-national democratic country as part of Europe and the EuroAtlantic community. My most important task will be to help create conditions under which the presence of NATO soldiers in Bosnia will no longer be needed, the American diplomat said. The objective which I should accomplish is to help transfer all the responsibility for Bosnia's security and development to local officials, Bond said.(hina) ms
