ZAGREB, Sept 13 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan on Thursday signed a book of condolence at the Croatian-American Society in Zagreb, opened after Tuesday's terrorist attacks on the U.S. Racan once again expressed
condolences to the citizens of the United States and the American Government. Racan was accompanied by foreign and defence ministers Tonino Picula and Jozo Rados, who also signed the book of condolence. The prime minister recalled the government had reached a decision to make the upcoming Friday a day of mourning "as a sign of Croatia's solidarity and condolence for America". Racan also called on citizens to pay their respects to the American victims with a minute of silence at noon Friday. United States and the American Government.

Premier Racan today received the U.S. Ambassador to Croatia,
Lawrence Rossin, and relayed expressions of condolences from the
Croatian government.
"The Croatian government supports and will participate in all
efforts by the international community to jointly suppress
terrorism. Every country must win the war against terrorism both on
the national and global plan," Racan said, the government said in a
statement.
Racan and Rossin concluded the precondition for overcoming the
dangers of terrorism is the building of a global coalition for the
struggle against terrorism, read the statement.
