BELGRADE, May 3 (Hina) - Serbian Justice Minister Vladan Batic said today the serving of the Hague war crimes tribunal's indictment on former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic "has nothing to do with his possible extradition" to
the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). Batic told a news conference in Belgrade the serving of the indictment issued in 1999 is a procedural matter and "has no bearing" on a possible extradition any time in the future. Belgrade's county court has confirmed Milosevic was served the ICTY indictment issued for crimes against Kosovo Albanians, as well as an ICTY warrant for his arrest and extradittion. Milosevic's attorney Toma Fila said his client did not receive the indictment which, he said, "was left on the small barred window of his detention cell".(hina) lml sb
