BELGRADE'S DISTRICT COURT SERVES ICTY INDICTEMENT ON MILOSEVIC BELGRADE, May 3 (Hina) - The District Court in Belgrade on Thursday served an indictment of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia(ICTY) on detained
formed Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic. The indictment was issued on May 22, 1999. Miloseivc is indicted for war crimes against humanity over Kosovo Albanians. Apart from Milosevic, the ICTY has indicted another four of his associates also for war crimes against humanity over Kosovars. The other four indictees are current Serbian President Milan Milutinovic, former Yugoslav deputy Prime Minister Nikola Sainovic, former Defence Minister Dragoljub Ojdanic, and former Serbian Interior Minister Vlajko Stoiljkovic. ICTY Secretary Hans Holthuis visited Belgrade on April 6 and forwarded the indictment and arrest warrant for Milosevic and his four associates to Yugoslavia's Justice Minister Momcilo Grubac. The indictment was issued on May 22, 1999. Miloseivc is indicted for
war crimes against humanity over Kosovo Albanians.

ICTY Secretary Hans Holthuis visited Belgrade on April 6 and
forwarded the indictment and arrest warrant for Milosevic and his
four associates to Yugoslavia's Justice Minister Momcilo Grubac.
Holthuis forwarded another letter to Grubac today, warning the
Belgrade authorities it was their duty to, without delay, act in
line with the arrest warrants for Milosevic and his associates.
Milosevic's attorney Tomo Fila appealed to the Serbian Supreme
Court on Thursday against the Belgrade District Court's decision on
prolonging Milosevic's detention for another two months.
