PRISTINA, April 21 (Hina) - Serbs in northern Kosovo continue to block all major roads in the southern Yugoslav province. As a result, customs staff left two toll check-points on the Serbia-Kosovo border. One of the leaders of the
Kosovo Serbs, Mario Jaksic, said on Saturday that this evening NATO's peace-keepers KFOR would embark on an operation intended to break down the roadblocks. British and U.S. soldiers will take part in the operation. A KFOR spokesman declined to comment but reminded that in line with the UN Security Council Resolution 1244, the KFOR was entitled to take all necessary measures for undisturbed performance in Kosovo. Officials with UN's Mission in Kosovo said the withdrawal of customs staff from the toll checkpoints was only temporary.
