PRISTINA, April 19 (Hina) - Members of the international peace force in Kosovo, KFOR, on Thursday started removing the road blocks placed by Serbs in the north of the Yugoslav province in protest against toll check-points on the
Kosovo-Serbia border. According to the KFOR, the road blocks were removed from three locations in order to ensure undisturbed transit for vehicles of the KFOR, the UN Mission in Kosovo and others, and not to deny Serbs the right to peaceful protests. The KFOR stressed no force was used in the removal of the road blocks. Serb sources, however, reported that at least 13 Serbs were injured in a clash between the KFOR and local Serbs, and that the KFOR used tear-gas to disperse the aggressive protesters. The Serbs are putting new road blocks all over northern Kosovo.(hina) ha
