The media have been saying Markac is one of two suspects
investigators with the International Criminal Tribunal for the
former Yugoslavia (ICTY) last week requested to interview.
In past cases, once the person in question received the interview
request, their attorney would contact the ICTY investigators to
determine what the interview would be about and when it would be
held.
Zagreb-based attorney Zvonimir Separovic told Hina today he might
be offered to represent General Markac in the interview with ICTY
investigators and that he would accept.
Some media have said Markac might engage Pero Pavkovic, who
represented the defence in the Kupreskic trial.
General Ivan Korade received the same request for an interview
yesterday. His attorney Zeljko Olujic said on that occasion his
client had not contacted the ICTY investigators yet. He was
confident the interview would take place in the next month.
