ZAGREB, Nov 13 (Hina) - The justice ministry will examine all court
processes which are being conducted against "Croatia Bus" former
director Leon Sulic over alleged cases of embezzlement in the
company. The decision to check the processes is the result of
Wednesday's meeting between representatives of the company's
workers and ministry officials. #L#
Deputy Justice Minister Miljenko Kovac promised the workers'
delegation the ministry would check all the court processes
concerning Sulic and ask the courts for their opinion, of which the
unions will be informed in five days' time.
About 60 workers have been blocking the entrance to the company's
premises for one week, insisting on better order in the company, the
establishment of the ownership structure, as well as the
acceleration of the ongoing court processes.
The protesters on Tuesday received summons for a hearing after the
"Croatia Bus" management sued them for having trespassed on private
property. The hearing is scheduled for Friday, November 15.
One may wonder what will be solved firstly: whether eight-year-long
cases which will finally legalise the company's activities, or if
the "law-based state", by sanctioning workers' activities, will
once again act unlawfully, a union leader said.
