ZAGREB, Nov 8 (Hina) - Around sixty workers of the Zagreb-based
transport company "Croatia bus", who have been protesting on the
company's premises since Tuesday, insist that the company's actual
owner be established and the company start operating in line with
the law. #L#
The workers have blocked the entrance to the company, demanding
that the company's ownership structure be defined, its illegal
operation discontinued and legal proceedings against former
manager Leon Sulic accelerated. The workers claim that Sulic is a
self-declared owner of the company.
The leader of the New Workers Union, Mario Ivekovic, told Hina the
union still had not received a response from the Privatisation Fund
and the Ministry of Justice.
Ivekovic reported that an incident occurred this morning on the
company premises, which are still guarded. A worker who supports
Sulic tried to remove a bus blocking the entrance, but was prevented
with the help of the police.
The worker who was injured in yesterday's incident on the company
premises, when he was hit by a bus, today joined other protesters
again.
