BELGRADE, June 30 (Hina) - A total of 120 companies in Serbia will be put out to tender by year's end while 1,000 will be auctioned, Serbian Privatisation Minister Aleksandar Vlahovic told the Sunday edition of the Vecernje Novosti
daily.

The process will be stepped up over the summer and autumn months,
while the restructuring of major corporations, like the power
supply industry and the railways, will begin in 2003, said
Vlahovic.
Formal offers were invited for 30 companies in May and June, 50
tenders will be put out in the summer and 40 in September, he added.
Vlahovic said that production was coming out of the stagnation
period and might grow by 5-7.5 percent by the end of the year.
