counterparts Rexep Meidani and Boris Trajkovski and member of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Presidency Jozo Krizanovic.
ZAGREB, June 11 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, who is
attending a meeting of 183 FAO member-countries in Rome, on Tuesday
met FAO general director Jacques Diouf. He also held talks with his
Albanian and Macedonian counterparts Rexep Meidani and Boris
Trajkovski and member of Bosnia-Herzegovina's Presidency Jozo

The meeting took place on the initiative of the Bosnian delegation,
the Croatian President's Office said in a statement.
During the talks, the three officials supported the goals of the
Rome Summit. The officials discussed the protection of the
environment, water management and alleviating the transit of
agricultural products. They agreed that the issues could and must
be solved first with bilateral and then regional agreements. They
also agreed to keep permanent contacts with the FAO.
During the Mesic-Diouf talks, which was also attended by Croatian
Agriculture Minister Bozidar Pankretic, focused on concrete FAO
programmes being implemented in Croatia.
Mesic invited Diouf to officially Croatia, the statement said.
The summit of the UN's FAO (Food and Agriculture Organisation)
opened in Rome on Monday and will last until Thursday
