PLOCE, June 3 (Hina) - Around 5,700 tonnes of petrol coke was
shipped into the southern Croatian seaport of Ploce on Monday. This
raw material will be further transported to the firm "Aluminij" in
Mostar, southern Bosnia-Herzegovina. #L#
The Bosnian company is becoming the leading business partner of the
Croatian port.
"Aluminij" imports raw material and exports its products via
Ploce.
According to data released by the port authorities, "Aluminij" is
currently using about 30 percent of the port's capacity.
In 2001, this company imported 236,522 tonnes of aluminium oxide,
petrol coke and bitumen, while exporting 54,030 tonnes of its
products to European countries and overseas via Ploce.
The first three months of 2002 saw a turnover of 82,825 tonnes. By
the end of this year Ploce expects over 300,000 tonnes of cargo from
and to the Mostar firm.
