The Italian "Larivera" shipping company will conduct a regular
service between the two Adriatic coasts while travel will be
organised by the "Jadroagent" international maritime agency.
The route starts in Termoli port and runs on through Campobaso - the
seat of the Molise region, which is connected to Rome and Naples
with bus lines. Molise is the home of many Croat settlers from the
Makarska and Neretva regions.
Apart from Ploce and the port of Ubli on the Lastovo island, where
regular customs control is conducted, the catamaran will sail to
Korcula and Dubrovnik as well. The route is intended for
passengers, tourists, and excursionists as well as for religious
tours, including visits to Medjugorje.
The route will be open during the season until the end of September.
With 105 trips it should improve Italian-Croatian connections and
could possibly be offered all year round.
