A statement issued by the SFOR in Sarajevo reads that the leaflets
were distributed in the areas of Kalinovik and Cajnice in eastern
Bosnia.
Karadzic's photo is on one side of the leaflet while the other side
contains basic information on the US government's programme
"Reward for Justice". The programme envisages a reward of five
million dollars for people who help locate and apprehend persons
wanted by the International Criminal Tribunal for former
Yugoslavia (ICTY).
Eastern Bosnia is usually mentioned as the location where Karazdic
is believed to be hiding, however, ICTY chief prosecutor Carla del
Ponte recently told the Swiss press she had information that the
former Bosnian Serb leader was hiding in the Banja Luka area.
According to the ICTY, the second most wanted war criminal, Ratko
Mladic, has been hiding in Serbia for years.
