The SFOR has nothing to discuss with Karadzic, Lundy said. Karadzic
has the option to surrender or be arrested, the spokesman told
journalists, commenting on the letter Karadzic forwarded to the
press through a Belgrade associate Kosta Cavoski.
In the letter, this most wanted war criminal today protests against
a warning that SFOR commander-in-chief John Sylvester forwarded to
Karadzic's family and friends calling on them to try and talk
Karadzic into choosing the reasonable option and turning himself
in. According to the letter Cavoski presented to the press,
Karadzic claims that it would be better for Sylvester to avoid
meeting him.
The SFOR spokesman said that the former Bosnian Serb leader would
end up before the court in The Hague no matter what.
