workers from towns across Croatia would be taking part in a protest in Zagreb on Labour Day. They are expecting some 10,000 protesters to march from Zagreb's main square to Maksimir Park. The protesters will begin the march at 11:00 hours. At noon, presidents of four union federations will speak at Maksimir. The unions are for the first time organising a joint celebration of Labour Day, union representatives told a news conference today. During the rally, dubbed "Change Yourselves, not the Labour Act", unionists will show the government the "yellow card" because of the announced changes to the Labour Act which the unions believe will drastically reduce workers' rights.
