The HDZ bench made the proposal through a bill on the rights of
displaced persons and refugees.
The ruling coalition's MPs said court rulings should be respected
and that court proceedings should not be influenced. "Honest" users
of houses and apartments do not have to pay anything, they said.
Deputy Justice Minister Miljenko Kovac said that the state cannot
protect those who, outside the law, occupied someone else's home,
as well as that owners of apartments and houses were not just those
people who went to Bosnia and Yugoslavia during the Serbian
aggression but that in many cases Croats were those filing suits and
those being sued.
Parliament wrapped up its 21st session, which lasted three weeks.
