ZAGREB, Dec 22 (Hina) - The inaugural session of the new Croatian parliament closed on Monday with the election of chairmen, deputy chairmen and members of the Committee for the Constitution, the Rules of Procedure and the Political
System, and the Committee on Legislation.

parliament closed on Monday with the election of chairmen, deputy
chairmen and members of the Committee for the Constitution, the Rules
of Procedure and the Political System, and the Committee on

Drazen Bosnjakovic of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) was elected
chairman of the Committee for the Constitution, the Rules of Procedure
and the Political System. His deputy will be elected at a later date
from the ranks of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Josip Leko of the SDP will fill the post of chairman of the Committee
on Legislation, with Florijan Boras of the HDZ as his deputy.
Parliament adjourned until 1600 hours during which time the two
committees were to discuss the concept of the new government proposed
by the HDZ. The concept was worked out in three legislative bills --
amendments to the Law on the Government, the Law on the Structure and
Scope of Government Ministries, and the Law on the State
Administration System.
The bills will be discussed by MPs at the second extraordinary session
of the new parliament scheduled for 1600 hours.
