the meantime, it was said at a round table discussion on tolerance, co-existence and the rule of law, organised by the Citizens for Human Rights Protection Association in Mostar on Friday.
MOSTAR, Oct 31 (Hina) - During the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, 40
percent of the country's pre-war population had to leave their
homes, and only one third has returned in the meantime, it was said
at a round table discussion on tolerance, co-existence and the rule
of law, organised by the Citizens for Human Rights Protection
Association in Mostar on Friday. #L#
Participants in the event warned that property was swapped on a
massive scale and reconstructed housing units were sold because
returnees did not want to be treated as a minority in areas where
another people was in the majority. Some participants called this
"a silent ethnic regrouping and realisation of the idea of so-
called humane resettlement".
