The meeting will also focus on Croatia's decision to proclaim a
fishing and ecological zone in the Adriatic. The meeting will be
attended by delegations from Slovenia, Croatia, Italy, Greece,
Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia and Montenegro.
Croatia will be represented by Deputy Environmental Protection and
Zoning Minister Roko Andricevic.
The meeting is being held behind closed door and a news conference
is announced for 15.00 hours.
Slovene environmental protection and zoning minister Janez Kopac
has said Croatia would be expected to answer what an ecological and
fishing zone really was, adding he was confident that other
participants in the meeting would support Slovenia's standpoint
that the ecological protection of the Adriatic was impossible to
achieve by unilateral moves.
