Rugova is the first Kosovo Albanian representative to accept the
invitation to participate in the talks.
The chiefs of the US and UK offices in Pristina and the head of the
NATO peacekeepers held a series of meetings with Kosovo Albanian
representatives today in bids to convince them to attend the Vienna
talks.
Parliament speaker Nexhat Daci and Democratic Party of Kosovo
president Hashim Thaqi have said they would resume consultations in
order to reach political consensus on the matter. Alliance for the
Future of Kosovo leader Ramush Haradinaj said he would not attend
the talks.
