PRISTINA, Oct 13 (Hina) - The UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) reported on Sunday evening that Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova would represent the province at talks with Serbia, to take place in Vienna on October 14, after Prime Minister
Bajram Rexhepi refused to participate in the first official talks between Belgrade and Pristina.
PRISTINA, Oct 13 (Hina) - The UN Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK) reported
on Sunday evening that Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova would
represent the province at talks with Serbia, to take place in Vienna
on October 14, after Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi refused to
participate in the first official talks between Belgrade and
Pristina. #L#
Rugova is a symbol of unity in multiethnic Kosovo, spokeswoman for
the UNMIK Izabella Karllovitz said in reaction to Rexhepi's
decision.
Rexhepi announced earlier on Sunday that he would not attend the
talks in Vienna because in his opinion the time was not right for
such talks.
