ZAGREB, Aug 27 (Hina) - A platoon of the Croatian army's military police on Wednesday evening departed from Zagreb to Kabul where it will take part in the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan. #L# This contingent, including 22 men and two women, will replace Croatian military police who participated in the international peace mission in the past six months and who will come back to Zagreb tomorrow. The new contingent was seen off by Defence Minister Zeljka Antunovic, the army's chief-of-staff Josip Lucic and other military officials. The Croatians will be deployed in Kabul as a part of the German contingent. On 11 August the command over the mission was taken over by NATO from the UN. Thus, the ISAF is the first mission of NATO outside Europe in 54 years of the alliance's existence. (hina) ms
