Missiles were lunched above the Gosinci border station, north-
western Macedonia, said spokesman Marjan Gurovski who described
the incident an attempt to escalate tensions in the area where
ethnic Albanians make up the majority of the population.
The Macedonian army has not identified the perpetrators and "it is
not clear yet whether they are connected with the recent attacks in
the neighbouring southern Serbia," the spokesman said.
Bombings and exchange of fire have been very frequent lately in the
said area.
