Making the said guidelines public for the first time is in line with
a decision made last week by the National Security Council,
pursuant to the law on security services.
In 30 days' time after the public announcement of the guidelines,
namely until the end of August, security services are expected to
elaborate detailed plans for their work, but those documents are
state secret and will not be revealed in the media.
The guidelines are a document in which President and Premier give
directives for the work of th Counter-Intelligence Agency (POA),
the Intelligence Agency (OA) and the Military Intelligence Agency
(VOA), based on strategies for national security and defence and
other relevant documents and laws.
