The entry into the justice ministry's registry is a precondition
for minorities' councils, whose members were elected at 18 May
elections and which have held their founding sessions since then,
to began operating as non-profit organisations with their own bank
accounts.
In light of the fact that less than half of possible 469 councils
were elected by 15 ethnic minorities at the May 18 ballot,
additional elections are likely to be organised with the coming
parliamentary elections, under the government's decision.
