According to preliminary estimates, damage caused by drought to
sugar beet, barley and oat crops totals some 51 million kuna (EUR6.7
million).
Around 60% of some 8,000 hectares with sugar beet crops was struck
by the drought, as was 50 percent of some 1,200 hectares of barley
and 360 hectares of oat crops.
