ZAGREB, April 8 (Hina) - Croatia's Minister of Environmental Protection and Zoning, Bozo Kovacevic, and non-government organisations on Tuesday signed contracts on the provision of state funding totalling one million kuna (some 130
thousand euros) for 28 environmental protection projects in 2003.

funding totalling one million kuna (some 130 thousand euros) for 28
environmental protection projects in 2003. #L#
Most of the funds, 95,000 kuna (EUR12,300), were allocated to the
Karlovac-based Pan association for solving problems of waste
management and illegal housing construction.
The funds were also allocated to a society for the protection of
birds and nature, associations for the protection of the griffon
vulture and dolphin, a bio-speleology society, and other
associations protecting endangered plants and animals.
