ZAGREB, April 3 (Hina) - The Croatian Homeland War Veterans' Ministry has planned to allocate 15,100,000 kuna (approx. 1.97 million euros) from budgetary funds for various Homeland War associations this year, in support of their
activities and programmes. The funds are the same amount allocated last year, the ministry reported Thursday.

Ministry has planned to allocate 15,100,000 kuna (approx. 1.97
million euros) from budgetary funds for various Homeland War
associations this year, in support of their activities and
programmes. The funds are the same amount allocated last year, the

A total of 24 associations of veterans and war invalids will receive
11.13 million kuna for their programmes.
Also 353,000 kuna has been granted as one-off assistance for
programmes of nine associations.
Four joint programmes of the ministry and associations, such as the
organisation of joint round-tables, marking holidays and
anniversaries, the organisation of pilgrimages, etc., will be
financed with 572,000 kuna.
The largest sum, 2,270,000 kuna, will be granted to General Djuro
Decak's association of volunteers. A little less funds, 2.2 million
kuna, will be granted to the association of Homeland War volunteers
for six programmes.
Both associations are members of the national coordinating body of
Homeland War associations which closely cooperate with the
ministry.
The association of disable war veterans, HVIRD-a, will receive no
penny from the ministry, which had previously been announced by
Minister Ivica Pancic.
