Jagne's visit is the first a senior Gambian official Is paying
Croatia since the two countries established diplomatic relations
in 1998.
The two ministers agreed Croatia's ambassador to the United Kingdom
should be accredited to Gambia and the Gambian ambassador in London
to Croatia.
Jagne was presented drafts of bilateral agreements on trade,
economic cooperation, and the promotion and protection of
investments. The pharmaceutical industry, shipbuilding, and
tourism were identified as possible fields of cooperation.
Picula thanked Gambia on the support given at the United Nations
Security Council concerning the Prevlaka border peninsula issue.
Jagne said his country would support Croatia's nomination in 2007
for non-standing membership of the Security Council in the 2008/9
period.
