"We reiterate our determination to achieve full NATO membership. In
this respect we welcome the signing of the U.S.-Adratic Charter
between the U.S. and our three countries," read the statement
signed by Croatia's Tonino Picula, Albania's Ilir Meta, and
Macedonia's Ilinka Mitreva.
They met in Dubrovnik to harmonise the details of the
aforementioned charter ahead of its signing in Washington.
"We reiterate our countries' determination to play an active part
in the international anti-terror coalition and our support to
Security Council resolutions and other relevant international
documents referring to the destruction, control, and non-spreading
of weapons of mass destruction. In compliance with the obligations
assumed by our presidents at the Tirana Summit on February 12, we
take this opportunity to call on Iraq to fully and unconditionally
implement U.N. Security Council Resolution 1441 or face the
consequences," read the statement.
"We have agreed to intensify regional cooperation in view of
bolstering peace and stability in Europe, to which end we shall use
the existing bilateral and multilateral mechanisms. We confirm our
determination to continue strengthening the bilateral, regional
and multilateral relations between our countries and BH, Serbia and
Montenegro and other neighbours."
