"We will seek an analysis so that we can determine if any errors were
made and as a result, act absolutely fairly," the premier said,
noting that certain neglect was disclosed and not everything was
determined in a timely manner. He also said that he did not know
about the "Pleter" claim for a temporary ban on the sale of 20.97 per
cent of stocks in the company. This new information will need to be
analysed too, he said. The premier reminded that he had requested
members of his cabinet not to speak publicly about the
privatisation of Suncani Hvar and so he did not wish to comment any
further either.
Asked by journalists about possible replacements in the government
as a result of the errors made, Racan responded that he had not
accused, judged or sanctioned anyone until now nor did he intend to
start now.
The Croatian Privatisation Fund (HFP) on Monday received a
temporary court measure preventing it from alienating and
burdening 20.97 percent of the Suncani Hvar hotel company, which
makes it impossible for the HFP to execute a January 23 government
decision on selling the company to Slovenia's Terme Catez.
