SPLIT, Jan 30 (Hina) - The president of the Croatian Democratic Republican Party (HDRS), Josko Kovac, said in Split on Thursday that the Palace Hotel in Hvar, on the southern Croatian island, was also included in the offer for the
sale of the Suncani Hvar hotel company. The Palace Hotel is located in a building dating from the 15th century and is a zero-category historical monument, he said. The party is, therefore, requesting that Culture Minister Antun Vujic also be held responsible.

The HDRS has filed a lawsuit against responsible persons from the
Croatian Privatisation Fund, said Kovac at Thursday's news
conference in Split.
Kovac beleives that if the government persists with selling Suncani
Hvar to Slovenia's Terme Catez company, this will be its last
decision.
He said some of the reasons for which the hotel company should not be
sold to the Slovene company were that Terme Catez was in the
ownership of the Slovene government, which owes EUR250 million to
Croatian citizens for lost savings in Ljubljanska Bank, and the
same amount to the Croatian power industry because of the Krsko
nuclear power plant.
