PULA, Jan 29 (Hina)- The Croatian Bloc (HB) of Istria County supports the leadership of the National University in Trieste in its dispute with the Italian union in Croatia and Slovenia because funding for the Italian national
minority, sent by the Italian government to Croatia and Slovenia through the university, has for years been spent without any control, a statement issued by the HB on Wednesday said.
PULA, Jan 29 (Hina)- The Croatian Bloc (HB) of Istria County
supports the leadership of the National University in Trieste in
its dispute with the Italian union in Croatia and Slovenia because
funding for the Italian national minority, sent by the Italian
government to Croatia and Slovenia through the university, has for
years been spent without any control, a statement issued by the HB
on Wednesday said. #L#
The statement notes that the Italian Union, as the highest
representative body of Italians in Croatia, has for some ten years
been in the service of exclusively political interest, namely the
ruling party in Istria.
The HB concludes that it is understandable that the leadership of
the National University in Trieste no longer wishes to pay six
million euros each year without having any insight into how the
funding is being spent.
