Mesic said that voters would support him because he implemented the Constitution and laws and was never calculating when making political decisions.
Commenting on the issue of abortion, Mesic said he understood the Church's advocacy of banning abortion, but that women should be given the right to choose what is best for them.
Speaking about the financing of the presidential campaign, Mesic said he did not believe Jadranka Kosor when she stated that she had spent 3.3 million kuna. "I have spent 2.7 million kuna so far, and since that lady is in every paper and smiles from every billboard, I believe that her election campaign costs at least 20 million kuna."
