Keser, 29-year-old head of the municipality of Kalnik in Koprivnica-Krizevci County, said he was opposed to the speedy entry of Croatia into the European Union because he believed that the country was not ready for it yet, but on the other hand he advocated its speedy admission to NATO.
Keser said he supported abolition of the military service because it is too expensive, and added that he was also in favour of downsizing state administration and improving the efficiency of the police.
Keser said his election programme was focused on "economic competitiveness through education and a just tax system", and pointed out that he was in favour of reducing Value Added Tax from the current 22 to 16 per cent.
He called on citizens to turn out for the elections on January 2 and vote for young people.
