"Corruption is the disease of this country, as is the grave social situation," Adlesic said, adding that during her tour of the country in recent days she had realised that the number of poor people was much higher than the official figure of 400,000.
Adlesic called on Croatian Democratic Union presidential candidate Jadranka Kosor, who she said often spoke of family values and the right to a holiday meal, to join forces so that workers of the bankrupt Imostroj company could receive their overdue wages.
The HSLS leadership will seek changes to the Election Law, a reduction of funds for presidential campaigns, and increasing the number of signatures required for a presidential candidacy to 40,000.
Asked which presidential candidate she would vote for, Adlesic said she was not sure if she would go to the polls at all.
