There were 22 candidacies presented to the State Elections, and of them, nine were without the necessary number of signatures of citizens supporting those candidacies.
In the coming 48 hours, the Election Commission is expected to check the 13 candidacies which were presented with the necessary number of signatures. After that it will make public an alphabetic list of the candidates that run in the forthcoming Croatian presidential elections, set for 2 January.
The official start of the pre-election campaign is 16 December. The campaign lasts by the midnight of 31 December. when a 48-hour ban on electioneering goes in force.
The alphabetic list of the 13 received candidacies includes: Djurdja Adlesic, Miroslav Ciro Blazevic, Ljubo Cesic-Rojs, Mladen Keser, Jadranka Kosor, Doris Kosta, Anto Kovacevic, Slaven Letica, Stjepan Mesic, Boris Miksic, Ivic Pasalic, Tomislav Petrak and Miroslav Rajh.
