ZAGREB, Sept 30 (Hina) - The clubs of the parliamentary parties in
parliament on Thursday afternoon supported plans for the establishment of a
national council for nuclear security and before wrapping up its work on
Thursday, parliament asked the government to elaborate a draft act on road
transport and adjust it to the law on traffic safety.Earlier today, MPs also discussed a draft act on explosive substances,
which, among other things, would expand the period for selling firecrackers
from the current 26 December-1 January period to entire month of December.
Parliament will resume its 10th session on Friday, when it is expected
to decide whether to endorse a motion by the ruling Croatian Democratic Union
(HDZ) on the establishment of a commission in charge of investigating the
circumstances under which the ailing private shipyard 'Viktor Lenac' was
granted state guarantees when the coalition government was in power.
