ZAGREB, Sept 28 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament resumes its 10thsession on Wednesday with a discussion on a motion submitted by theCroatian Democratic Union requesting that a commission of inquiry beset up to establish all facts
regarding the guarantees given by theformer Ivica Racan Cabinet to the creditors of the private shipyardViktor Lenac in the northern Adriatic city of Rijeka, which is now inreceivership.
ZAGREB, Sept 28 (Hina) - The Croatian parliament resumes its 10th
session on Wednesday with a discussion on a motion submitted by the Croatian
Democratic Union requesting that a commission of inquiry be set up to establish
all facts regarding the guarantees given by the former Ivica Racan Cabinet to
the creditors of the private shipyard Viktor Lenac in the northern Adriatic
city of Rijeka, which is now in receivership.The commission is expected to establish who the real owners of the
shipyard are and reasons why the guarantees were given.
The tenth session is expected to end in mid-October. By then, deputies
are expected to voice their opinion on another 40 items on the agenda,
including an agreement on the new stand-by deal with the International Monetary
Fund. This topic was moved by the Social Democratic Party.
