agreement with Sweden whereby this country will donate 1.4 million Swedish
kroner (1.13 million kuna) to help the Croatian European Integration Ministry
coordinate, manage, and monitor financial assistance from the European
Union.Prime Minister Ivo Sanader urged all ministers to prepare well for use
of the Union's preaccession funds by learning from the experience of other
countries. He reminded the ministers those were non-repayable funds and that
every detail must be considered.
The Government sent to Parliament for adoption a bill on the
establishment of a national education evaluation centre, an institution which,
among other things, would issue state high-school diplomas.
By 2007 the state will set aside 39.2 million kuna for the construction
of the centre in Zagreb and other costs.
