The government wants to make all necessary preparations so as to meet condition for EU entry talks and start negotiations with the EU on time, Macek said after a government session which was held behind closed doors.
The government set a precise deadlines for all ministries by which they must submit bills and bylaws which needed to be adjusted to European legislation.
Macek said that all ministries had European coordinators -- state secretaries or assistant ministers -- who were already preparing legal changes aimed at the adjustment of Croatia's legislation with EU standards.
