SARAJEVO, Jan 28(Hina) - A former member of Republika Srpska special police forces and close associate to Radovan Karadzic, Zeljko Jankovic Luna, was arrested in the northern Bosnian town of Bijeljina on Wednesday, local police and
the NATO-led Stabilisation Force in Bosnia reported.
SARAJEVO, Jan 28(Hina) - A former member of Republika Srpska special
police forces and close associate to Radovan Karadzic, Zeljko Jankovic
Luna, was arrested in the northern Bosnian town of Bijeljina on
Wednesday, local police and the NATO-led Stabilisation Force in Bosnia

Jankovic was apprehended on a street in downtown Bijeljina. The
operation was conducted by SFOR, spokesman for SFOR in Sarajevo Dave
Sullivan said.
Republika Srpska police joined the operation later.
The Bosnian media reported earlier that Jankovic, who was Karadzic's
personal bodyguard during the war, continued to serve the Bosnian Serb
leader even after the latter retired from the political life.
According to "Slobodna Bosna" daily, Jankovic may still be part of
Karadzic's closest security circle which has been helping him to hide
from SFOR for years.
