SFOR spokesman Dave Sullivan said the confiscated material could be of
significant intelligence value.
Quoting police sources, local media reported that 15 smoke bombs were
discovered in the basement of Karadzic's house and that they were
confiscated.
The house, which is located in the neighbourhood of Breznik east of
Pale is actually empty and at the time of the raid only the
house-keeper was there.
Karadzic's wife Ljiljana appeared in front of the house later and in
an argument with SFOR troops claimed that they were responsible for
the significant material damage done to the house and that she would
claim compensation.
SFOR spokesman Matthew Brock said SFOR was ready to consider such a
request should it be filed.
Ljiljana Zelen-Karadzic told reporters that SFOR troops were looking
for her husband in Pale over the past three days.
"Being 1.90 cm tall, he certainly cannot be hiding in the attic of my
sister's house or in some basement," she said.
