ZAGREB, Jan 23(Hina) - The 11th anniversary of the Croatian military liberation operation "Maslenica" was marked in the Zemunik barracks on Friday. The then air base and today's barracks was liberated in the operation.
ZAGREB, Jan 23(Hina) - The 11th anniversary of the Croatian military
liberation operation "Maslenica" was marked in the Zemunik barracks on
Friday. The then air base and today's barracks was liberated in the

The commander of the barracks, Brigadier Ivan Gulisija, said that with
the Maslenica operation, the Croatian Army defended this territory
thus enabling Zadar and its hinterland to start breathing. After the
liberation the process of removing mines from the air base started. He
said that the Serb aggressor planted ten tonnes of explosives at the
Zemunik airport runway.
Wreaths were laid at a memorial site for dead members of the air
