Asked whether it was true that the government was considering
postponing changes to the Law on VAT, Kosor said this would be
discussed on Monday.
The Croatian Democratic Union, which won the November 23 parliamentary
elections and formed the new government, had promised in the run-up to
the ballot to reduce of the VAT rate from 22 to 20 percent.
Kosor confirmed that the government would also discuss changes to
three laws in order to re-introduce three-year maternity leave for
mothers with three and more children.
The government will also discuss data on buffer stocks. While
preparing aid for Iran, which was hit by a disastrous earthquake last
week, the government found out that there were almost no strategic
supplies.
