The Croatian ministry said in a press release it agreed with the statements of the European Union Presidency and the European Parliament, and considered Ahmadinejad's latest statement unacceptable.
Similarly to earlier statements which met with international disapproval and reproof by the UN Security Council, Ahmadinejad's latest one elicited harsh reactions in the international community, with some European countries maintaining that such statements might undermine efforts made so far to end disagreements about Iran's nuclear programme.
Ahmadinejad's latest verbal attack on Israel was condemned, among others, by the EU, the United States, and the German, Austrian and Spanish governments.
