BRUSSELS, Dec 8 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, who on Thursday attended a regular annual meeting of foreign ministers of the Euro-Atlantic Partnership Council, announced the possibility of Croatia increasing the number of its troops deployed in Afghanistan.

One of the topics of the Brussels meeting of the EAPC, which consists of NATO member-states and countries-partners, was NATO's mission in Afghanistan, where Croatia will increase the number of its soldiers, the Croatian minister told reporters after the meeting.

Grabar-Kitarovic announced that she would soon travel to Afghanistan to visit members of the Croatian military contingent and talk with Afghan officials.

A joint statement adopted at the end of the meeting reads that the EAPC remains committed to the integration of southeastern European countries with Euro-Atlantic institutions. The document also commends the progress made in the region.
