Gotovina was arrested in Spain last Wednesday and was later flown to The Hague where he made his initial appearance before the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) on Monday.
The government continues with the reform of the judiciary, state administration and with the struggle against corruption, Sanader said later in Zagreb on Monday at the end of a national business conference.
Commenting on the statement made by President Stjepan Mesic earlier on Monday, that people who had been helping Gotovina evade justice for years must be identified and brought to justice, Sanader said that this issue should be dealt with by the judiciary.
