BANJA LUKA, Aug 27 (Hina) - The Main Board of the Serb Democratic
Party (SDS) issued a statement on Saturday saying that at the next session of
the Bosnian Serb Parliament, scheduled for 30 August, the party would support
defence reform in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The SDS said that it accepted
the concept of reform proposed by the Commission on Defence Reform in
Bosnia-Herzegovina and that it believed that the reform "meets the NATO
admission criteria".
"The SDS will support the transfer of defence powers from the Entities
to the State of Bosnia-Herzegovina with a clear command role of the Presidency
and the use of the armed forces exclusively by consensus," the statement
said.
